Ballyvolane House is the perfect choice if you’re looking for a unique, stylish venue in Cork. Fiona & Stephen’s wedding was on a perfect Autumn day- the styling was a blend of Indonesian and Scottish, which meant kilts, beautiful colours and a gold headdress. The floral decor was simple – greenery was the dominant theme. St Mary’s in Castletownroche, a beautiful old church, was decorated simply with lush, floor length greenery garlands of eucalyptus and herbs, hung from the pews. These were later re-purposed at Ballyvolane House as table decor, along with a eclectic selection of gold and brass candlesticks and green candles. Fiona’s bouquet was a large, unstructured bouquet with masses of greenery and simple white flowers, finished with gold velvet to complement her gold accessories. Thistles were also used as a nod to the Scottish link, especially in the buttonholes for the men.
