I moved to Ireland in 2002 after working in media and events in London. Initially I ran a small garden centre, but when a friend asked me to create their wedding florals in 2009 there was no going back, I was hooked…. Over the years I have trained and worked with some of the top names in the industry, and love that floristry is a continually evolving form – new techniques, styles, flowers and people, it will never get boring.

As well as being a florist, I am also a grower, and am proud to be one of the founding members of Flower Farmers of Ireland. I am passionate about sustainable floristry, all my designs are foam-free and wherever possible, we use Irish-grown flowers and foliage. Here at The Secret Garden, we grow as much as we can so that from spring through to Autumn, we have a wide choice of beautiful blooms that we can choose from. As a floral designer, I specialise in natural, seasonal designs, and whilst I love using my own flowers, seasonal availability can fluctuate wildly, which means I also use imported flowers where necessary, direct from the Dutch flower markets. I am inspired by the abundance of my surrounding countryside, and love to forage, bringing nature and a bit of wildness into the designs too.
