The weather may say winter, but this weekend Easter is upon us! The weather is causing some delay in the garden – protect young plants and if you have any evergreens in containers watch out for drying out as the roots freeze. If you do have frozen evergreens, give the foliage a light watering to rehydrate the leaves.
We have delayed summer bedding, tomato plants and young vegetable seedlings due to the cold temperatures and as soon as the weather improves we will get them in. Try and protect your own seedlings as much as you can, a layer of fleece at night will help protect them.
However, Easter weekend cannot be ignored so we have lots of HARDY plants in stock which can be planted now. Also this Sunday between 2 – 5pm, David Kelly will be outside the tea room with a selection of poultry for sale, so if you fancy a chick for Easter this is the place to be!

For those of you that have been good over Lent we’ll have lots of goodies to tempt you in the tea room. If you’re looking for Easter gifts we have Pandora Bell’s range of handmade sweets, including her Easter special – real eggshells filled with chocolate praline – perfect for an Easter breakfast!
We’re open all day Good Friday, Saturday, from 1pm on Easter Sunday and all day Easter Monday.
